Amazing 2001

Welcome to our home!

The year started pretty well, our New Year's Eve was at Stingaree, in San Diego.
Those of you who joined us in Rio for our 25th Anniversary celebration should have the pictures to remember. Those who didn't can look and weep... Búzios was awesome, and the pictures are not even close to reality. Thanks to Paulo Linhares, some of the best pictures he took are posted here.
So we were in Brazil in January, went to Hawaii when we came back - no pictures, though - and the trips keep coming.
Tatiana took a Photography class at NYU and took some pictures that were so good I had to post them.
We went to the Dominican Republic for the Celebrity Sports Invitational benefiting the Dream Foundation. We love those events, and of course it was better catching a ride with Bill Sweedler and Ed Brown in a private jet. I can get used to this! Ed Brown invited Steve to the Indy race
So Steve went to the Indy 500 with Mike Viscuso, Patrón took them. It was a first for him, he loved it.
We went to Berlin to see the World Cup Final, an adventure for us - the first country we go to that we can't understand the language at all. It was fun, we loved Berlin.
While we were gone, Nicholas went to Europe - London and Paris with a group, then on to Italy by himself. He came back with lots of stories to tell!
Meanwhile, Tatiana went to Brazil to spend her vacation traveling through the Northeast. She loved it!
Steve went fishing in Idaho - business, of course!
And Steve and Adriana went on the cruise they heard so much about. It was everything they said, and then some. The pictures don't show how much fun we had, it was a great group of people.
Nothing like going to Italy... again! Adriana spent some time in Italy to meet up with Tatiana (doing the study abroad program from NYU). They spent Thanksgiving together with Sue, who joined Adriana in celebration of the last kids finishing High School - sort of a retirement celebration. No pictures of Nicholas' graduation, he run off before we could take them!
Christmas was wonderful, as usual. It was a hungry crowd, Adriana cooked for more than 3 days, we had turkey, ham, prime rib and "feijoada." All with lots of love and lots of wine. It was great having Sue, Daley and Nikki over, their first time spending Christmas in our house. Thanks to everyone who came!
